Happy Spring!

Good Evening Everyone,

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather.

We have been very busy in our class.  Last week we learned about the letter V.  We ate vegetables and created a graph to see what vegetables we liked best.  We learned about volcanos and watched volcanos errupting on the internet.  The kids were amazed.  We will be making our own volcanos soon.  Our kids learned about Vines and how Jesus is the Vine and we are the branches.  We cannot grow if we don't have Jesus in our life.  The children were really engaged and understood this lesson.  I am very proud of them.

This week we will start the letter W.  We will learn about the weather and Jonah and the Whale.

As always we will continue to review everything that we have learned so far.

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

See you soon,

Ms. Baker and Ms. Ruth

It's Friday!!!

Good afternoon everyone,

We have had a wonderful week here in preschool.  We had a big pancake feast on Tuesday which the children loved.  We had fun making masks and learning about Mardi Gras.  Wednesday we went to church to receive Ashes.  Our children were so well behaved, several of the parishioners sitting around us commented on how well behaved they were.  I am very proud of them.

Thursday was Dr. Seuss' Birthday so we enjoyed reading Dr. Seuss books and ate Green Eggs and Ham for snack.

Next week we will start the letter T.  We will continue to talk and learn about Lent.

Have a great weekend.

Happy Friday!

Good Friday Morning Everyone,

We have been learning so much this week.  We are finishing up the letter R and next week we will begin the letter S.  We will also begin the Season of Lent.  We will learn and talk about Lent all the way up until Easter.  It is such a special and important time for our children to learn about and understand.  Next week is also Dr. Suess' Birthday.  We will be doing lots fun and silly things.  I will have our calendar of events for you next week.

Take a look at what we have been working on this week!

Hello Everyone,

We have been learning alot in pre-school.  Last week we worked on the Letter O.  We talked about how we should always Obey God and our parents and our leaders.  This week we are learning about the letter P, Transportation and Black History.  Our class is learning about African American inventors.  We are having alot of fun creating art work and talking about all the wonderful creations they have invented.

O is for Octopus and Cheerios!

We cleaned pennies to learn about obeying rules and directions.  The first time we did not follow directions and the pennies did not come clean.  The second time we followed the directions and the pennies came out shiney as new.  We learned that if we Obey God we will shine like the clean pennies.

Thank you Parents for coming and joining us for Pizza Lunch.  It means so much to us and your children!

Where is the Snow?

We are patiently waiting for snow, but in Preschool we can always find a way to improvise.  We made snow out of shaving cream and had fun playing with cars and animals in the snow.  This week we will make more snow out of baking soda and hair conditioner.  Then we will compare and decide which snow we like better.  Have a great Sunday!
