Art > Mosaic in front lobby (11)

Several eighth graders from the class of 2015 worked after school last spring to design the mosaic in the front lobby of the school. The St. Mary's cross was chosen to represent the school. Smaller icons to represent different aspects of the school, such as subjects, were created with clay. The image of a nun represents the Sisters of the Divine Savior who taught at the school. The different pieces of brown and peach tiles in the background represent the diversity in our St. Mary's community. Over the summer a few of the students came in to the art room for several mornings to put it all together.
